I had the privilege to speak recently for a partner of the company I work for, P2 Energy Solutions. I’m always humbled to speak about the events of 1/15/09 and the blessings and events that have happened since and honored when a company that has a partnership to Oracle invites me to share my experience. When I speak to companies or a conference, I focus my talk about the lessons I believe contributed to the outcome of US Airways 1549. I was well briefed on the conference that P2 Energy was holding so I felt prepared. I spoke to my point of contact and reassured her that I understood who the audience was and I would focus my talk and experience to them. At the end of the talk, I took some questions then prepared to take some pictures with the attendees. I was honored that the first group of people that asked me to have pictures taken were a group of their business partners from Yeman. The conversation I had with them after the pictures was moving and once again let me know that what happened to the crew and passengers on 1/15/09 touched not only our families, friends and those in the NY/NJ and Charlotte areas, but people across the United States and the world. Not many people know that I did interviews in China and Taiwan for a group that is using the teaching of English to move their message of God’s Grace into the communist country of the People’s Republic of China. I was moved to be asked to do these interviews and was pleased to get copies of it in English and in Chinese. I have also been invited to speak in Australia and the UK . I am honored to share all of our experience around the globe to those who see what happened that day as a message of hope, the same message the American Red Cross promotes across the US and around the world. I am honored to be associated to the American Red Cross and with our passenger and crew family. I hope all of you have the opportunity to meet someone who was on US Airways 1549.
I will be speaking in the coming weeks in Charlotte, NC, West Orange, NJ, Dallas, TX, Winston-Salem, NC, Syracuse,NY, Wilmington, OH, Los Angeles, CA, Baltimore, MD, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ , New York, NY and London, UK. I hope I have the opportunity to meet you.
